Nominations will be sought during January and if the number of nominations for any constituency exceeds the number of places available, an election will be held.
To ensure that all eligible GPs are included in the nomination/election process, we need to know the names and contractual status of all GPs working at each practice in these constituencies. We do not require details for GP trainees or any GPs that work in more than one area and have chosen to be represented elsewhere in Essex. Only those GPs that have submitted their details will be eligible to seek nomination and vote in LMC elections.
GPs are asked to submit their details by Friday 5th January 2024 using the following link: LMC Elections 2024 – GP Details
Alternatively, if you would prefer to enter the details for GPs at your practice manually, kindly complete this excel spreadsheet and return to: annette@essexlmc.org.uk by 5th January 2024.

During November/December, the LMC will undertake a data cleanse and will contact all practices to confirm the names and contact details for all GPs working at each practice. This information is required to ensure that all eligible GPs are included in the nomination/election process. We appreciate how busy Practice Managers are, but we are dependent on practices supplying this information.
The LMC will invite nominations from early February 2022 and an e-mail will be sent to each GP for whom an address has been provided. A copy of this e-mail will also be sent to Practice Managers who will be asked to share with all GPs working at the practice to cover any GPs that we do not hold details for.
Nominations will close around 25th February 2022 and if the number of nominations in any constituency exceeds the number of places available, an election will be held. It is expected that voting will be done electronically and that the ballot will run from around 4th to 25th March 2022.
